My first thought would be to bring my computer because there are so many things you can do with it! For example, you can read books, even write one if you’re feeling like doing it, listen to music or watch a movie… But after considering it, it may not be such a wise choice because computer can be traced. And if my life was in danger I would certainly not want to be found! I believe choosing a suitcase full of my favorite books would be better (I would inevitably bring the « Raven Cycle » series along with « Six of Crows » and some others)! Books are unavoidable if you want to escape reality or just clear your head, same goes for music by the way. Bringing headphones and music isn’t negotiable. I just won’t survive without it. A radio would be the best way to keep me informed and some blankets would be needed for cold nights. And finally, last but not least, my precious notebook (and a sharpened pencil) would be part of the trip, in order to write down my thoughts, potential stories and practice my drawing skills. Anyway, I hope I would never be discriminated against, especially because of who I am. Nobody should have to hide who they are and furthermore shouldn’t be discriminated for it. People who are strong and brave enough to rise up for who they are, for themselves, should be respected for their bravery. We all have something to learn from them! Everyone should be given the choice to live without fearing or hiding and that regardless of their sexuality, their ethnic or religious origins, their gender or even their favorite ice-cream flavor! Unfortunately, it is not up to me. It is up to everyone; to bring justice, to change the world, to make it a better place.
